Career Advice and Planning
In order to get Ready for Work, students are advised to already start planning their careers from their first year. By the time they graduate, students should have added additional skills and experience to their CVs to enhance their employability because “your success matters”. Students can obtain career advice by either visiting the Career Services office or enrolling for free skills development courses on-line ( in conjunction with Enterprises UP). These courses will help you plan a career that is most likely to lead you to success and to a career you will love!
The following free on-line courses are available to assist with Career Planning;
- Introduction to career planning
- Researching careers
- Researching potential employers
You will get basic information each employee needs to know as well as learn how to choose a career, create a career plan, select potential employers most beneficial to your overall career plan and engage in activities that will enhance your CV.
Also check the events calendar for additional workshops and training opportunities here.
