Tuks Camerata celebrated its 49th anniversary in 2017 and has received many national and international accolades throughout the years. The choir consists of 77 students from a variety of study fields, including medicine, engineering, education, economics, accounting, law and music.

Every three years, 24 choirs from across the globe are invited to participate in the world's largest international conference for choirs. In July 2017, the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music will take place in Barcelona, Spain and Tuks Camerata will represent not only the University of Pretoria and the country, but the entire African Continent.
