Results:

Ladies:
UP 20 – 0 North West University-VAAL
The game was a forfeit.

Men:
UP 20 – 0 University of Limpopo Medunsa (Second division)
The game was a forfeit

UP 58 – 38 Midrand Graduate Institute
The game started off on a slow start for the men. They didn’t know what to expect from the opposing team as MGI is a new team to the first division. The score was close for the first two quarters but in the third quarter UP started to get into the game and ended up winning the game by a large margin.

On Sunday 04 May both the men’s teams played their games at the University of Witswatersrand and the results for those games were as follows:

Men:
UP 70 – 68 Boston College Campus (first division)
This was said to be the game of the day. Everyone who watched the game was entertained. There were only 8 players who were present for the game but they managed to beat a full team of 12. The game was close throughout all 4 quarters but the UP team fought until the end and in the end came out victorious.

UP 77 – 59 WITS Young Bucks (second division)
The team went into this game thinking that it will be tough because Wits teams are known for their willingness to fight. It started off with everyone wondering who would walk away victorious as both teams were going head-to-head with regards to the scores. UP then started leading properly from the 3rd quarter. They led throughout the whole game from then onwards. This game was another pleasure to watch.
