TEACHING

Mathebe Aphane taught part time at the University of Johannesburg from 2010 to 2011. During this time she was an external examiner for Construction 2nd year. In 2012 she assisted part-time in the 1st year studio at the Department of Architecture, University of Pretoria. In 2015 she was appointed here on a permanent basis.

 

EXECUTIVE PROFILE

Ms Aphane has ten years’ HR-related experience up to senior HR professional level, handling aggressive corporate and client leadership roles, and solidifying profitable client relationships at Eskom’s Distribution and Corporate Departments.

She was part of the professional team in development projects within the building industry, designing and project managing architectural projects.

She is known for her ability to create and articulate corporate change management strategy and vision and to then move teams to embrace these. She attracted talented people and allowed teams to take chances, believing that without creative risk taking there can be no true innovation. She loves making a difference.

Ms Aphane’s areas of ability and responsibility include:

Big budget projects, meeting financial objectives in both expenses and productivity, core management team activities, international engagements, customer satisfaction, service delivery analysis, professional services, technical support, implementation, and project management.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Mathebe Aphane is serving as a board member on the School Governing Body at St Mary’s DSG Pretoria.
