TEACHING

Johan N. Prinsloo joined the Department of Architecture at the University of Pretoria in 2009 after working in practice for GREENinc landscape architects. He is currently the studio master for the professional master’s program in landscape architecture, and teaches design and environmental studies (history) for first year students. He has been an external examiner at the Universities of Cape Town and Johannesburg.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Johan N. Prinsloo is a member of ILASA (The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa) and is registered as a professional landscape architect with SACLAP (South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Professions).

 

RESEARCH

Johan N. Prinsloo’s main research interest is the relationship between landscape and verbal language. His current focus is the history of the translation of myth to gardens.
