Summary

Based on the bestseller comic by Hiromi Morishita, Osaka Hamlet tells the story of the Kubo family and their life in Osaka.

The mother (Keiko Matsuzaka), a hospital attendant by day and club hostess by night, raises her three sons with the help of their uncle (Ittoku Kishibe). The sons are Hasanori, the skinny but spunky sixth grader who likes to cross-dress; Yukio, the punkish junior high pupil who becomes fascinated with Hamlet; and Masashi, the high-schooler who falls in love with an older woman who has a father fixation.
