The Department of Library Services' MakerSpace invites you to attend a training session on basic circuitry using Arduino, irrespective of your field of discipline or level of expertise.

This workshop will review the basics of configuring circuitry for application in multiple fields, and will be a starting point in guiding students to apply this technology within their field of expertise. This will be the first of a series of sessions to develop and showcase the possibilities of this technology.

Examples and application of use includes:

  • Temperature sensors for home automation or fire prevention;
  • Hydro sensors to measure moisture in soil for agriculture; and
  • Movement counts within businesses to measure foot counts, to name but a few.

The usage of the kits will also be explained during the session so you can practice developing your skills within the MakerSpace throughout the year.
