The journal Hervormde Teologiese Studies, is published by the Faculty of Theology. It is the official publication of the Hervormde Theological Society.
It is also the oldest extant theological journal in South Africa.
The members of the faculty form the editorial board of the Journal. Prof AG van Aarde acts as executive editor. He is assisted by Ms Adri Goosen of the STNT centre.
The journal is accredited by the National Department of Education and Training. All articles are subject to formal selection by the editor and a panel of experts and have to comply to the editorial rules given under Subscriptions and submissions.

Subscription fees are R110,00 (R105,00 for students) per year. These are for four issues, including supplementa published during the year of subscription. Enquiries and fees can be addressed to Ms Adri Goosen.
Submissions by contributors are to be addressed to the editor . The required orthographical structure of articles and reviews was published in theHTS 50(30), of November 1994, pages 454-464. Articles can be submitted in Afrikaans, English, German or French. An article has to be printed on A4 pages in one and a half spacing and supplied with a diskette in Word format. An edited English abstract with a translation of the title, giving a concise outline of the intention of the article in not more than 150 words, has to be included.

As from 2000, selected articles can be downloaded here free of charge. From each new issue, one article in Afrikaans and one in English are chosen to introduce you to the content of the journal.
