This site forms part of my work done in the course RBO880 of 1999 (learning on the internet). As such the main aim is to determine the potential usefulness of sites of this nature. It is by no means an official site of SAMPS (South African Medical Physics Society). Thus no real points can be scored as yet. If the site is deemed to be viable and approved by the society this status might change.
Because of the experimental status of the site not all of the proposals were implemented, these proposals are in italics.
2.1.1 Register as a user are placed on the e-mail list and receive password.
2.1.2 Surf the accredited sites.
2.1.3 Use password to access questions. Send answers back. Earn applicable points.
2.1.4 Receive e-mail notification of new sites included.
2.1.5 Using password enquire his personal points status
2.1.6 Are informed of progress of CPD through e-mail
2.2.1 Develop own Medical Physics site or discover applicable site.
2.2.2 Draw up a set of questions for own site or approach owner of site for permission to use site and to draw up questionaire.
2.2.3 Submit contribution for evaluation.
2.2.4 After peer review site and questions are included. Contributor earns points.
2.3 Evaluator
2.3.1 Evaluate proposed sites. Assign points to contributor and proposed site.
2.3.2 Take administrative actions on CPD points of members under his supervision.
