privileged to have the part-time services of five experts who offer guidance to
postgraduate students. Their contributions include a number of lectures

Prof. Boon was the Head of Department of Information Science since 1983, but
has been appointed Registrar (Academic) of UP in July 1995. He is currently the
Director for Telematic Teaching at the University of Pretoria.

Prof. PJ Lor BA(Hons)(French) (UP), BBibl(Hons) (US), MBibl, DPhil (UP) Dr Lor is National Librarian of the National Library of South Africa in Pretoria and formerly a professor of Information Science at the University of South Africa. He has published widely in many accredited journals. He also acted as Chairperson of the
